Carlton Livingston, Jamaican vocalist, and songwriter extraordinaire is our special guest.
Carlton Livingston is known for his 1984 hit “100 Weight of Collie Weed.”
He is a very versatile singer that is able to adapt to all types of tracks. We discuss his journey from youth in St. Mary, Jamaica to Kingston, and then to New York as his career took off. A 1970’s dub selector, and sound system operator we explore the backstories for some of his major recordings.
I really enjoyed this interview with Carlton Livingston, my fellow Vauxhall alumni.I also remember those late night studio session at HC&F studio with the late Phillip Smart at the controls.🎼🎤
That’s great. Thank you for the comment.
